I understand that alot of people don't actually know me. Obviously, I said at the start of the the blog what I plan to do, however contary to popular belief I am more than a few words and photos. I also feel that if I tell you a little bit about me, then that makes me more human and thus could inspire one of your mortals to join the land of the gods (other names for the exec team are available).
So let me tell you a little bit about me.
2. I'm actually really into professional wrestling, especially the women's divisions. My favourite wrestlers are Gail Kim, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky Lynch.
3. Before I was at University, I was very into drama. So much so, I actually won the Drama prize in my final year at college.

I'm afraid the weekend is going to be slightly quieter on the blog posts due to the fact that firstly, I have work and secondly, not many people do email contact over the weekend. So you will probably now hear from me on Monday.
Until then,
Toodle Pips,
Kelly

5 pieces of advice I would give new DMU Students:
- Listen to us older gits: We know what clubs are good. We know what ones should be avoided with a 10ft pole. Listen to us during Freshers and save some dollar bills.
- Join a student group: Whether you want your own radio show or have a passion for pole dancing, there is a large variety of student groups out there. Oh and if there isn't one you like, make one and get loads of skills whilst your there.
- Go on a DMU Global Trip: Listen to me younglings. DMU will pay you money to leave the country. I repeat, they will give you money to leave the country. Not only that but the amount of places and opportunities available is endless. I was lucky enough to spend a week in Lanzarote with Sub-Aqua (of which you can find here) and it was one of the most fantastic weeks of the whole academic year.

Lanzarote with my Scuba Squad. - Accept that it's ok to have a night in during Fresher's week: Chances are, there's going to a night out every night during #FreshFest17 however going out every night costs money. Not only that but everyone, even the party animals needs a night to just breathe. So log into your netflix, grab your free pizza and just enjoy a quiet night. You'll thank me for it.
- Be yourself: I know it sounds a bit cheesy but I argue that this is the most important piece of advice. You see, as much as you feel that you need to change your image or do things that you wouldn't normally do, the reality is that you'll start making really good friends after you've started to be yourself. No matter how bonkers you may be.
