Well, once again I am shattered. This seems to be a regular occurrence whenever I do something officer related but I wouldn't change a thing. Ok I lie, I would prefer to have at least another 6 weeks to do some research for a report that I need to submit to the University's big wigs but we can't have it all, can we?
I shall explain more about this report in a future entry, all you need to know at the moment is that I'm hoping that it will make DMU even more enticing for international students who live outside of the EU.
Speaking of international students, today I was table hosting for the International Welcome event. A huge spectacle with fairground games and a selfie mirror which was followed by a variety of speeches from various important folk before a buffet with twists on traditional British foods. I was slightly disappointed by the lack of drunken kebab but I also understand the practical reasoning behind the lack of dish.
Whilst we were stuffing our faces, there was a nice man who drew caricatures of us. Needless to say, we have lots of pretty pictures ready to go up on the officer mural.
Tomorrow, I will be attending the activities conference, so I look forward to filling you guys in with all of the antics.
