Stop shooting me Arty!

There was only one rule in that game "don't shoot your teammates."

It wasn't as even as if we all looked the same or were hard to spot, we were all wearing white t-shirts. White in the UV light is a giant siren saying 'shoot me. Shoot me right here.' Yet some how, Arty still managed it, not once, not twice but at least 20 times (that's of course assuming that he actually shot the other team at some point during the 15 minutes). Needless to say, he wasn't very popular after that game of laser tag.

So why was Arty shooting the wrong team anyway I hear you cry. Well yesterday was the 'faculty-laser tag challenge' where the 6 faculties competed in a variety of activities for fame, glory and bragging rights. There's also something about students and staff having a good time but let's face it, we're too concerned about winning.

Laser-tag pic.

As there were only 2 people from ADH that came last night (myself included), we were adopted by team departments. This faculty is all the staff that don't fall under the 4 academic faculties such as ITMS, DSU and DMU Sport. We had a very strong start winning the faculties chant challenge (#Wereppindeps) before a slight dip during our first game of laser-tag. This was where your Postgraduate officer had to 'die' for my team's laser-tag sins (i.e. standing in the middle of the arena where every person was shooting them).

After a bad first round of laser-tag, I taught my team mates the way of the uno as help them earn points. Then we were back in for the next round which was friend or foe. Despite Arty's shocking effort, we were the only team to finish the game in positive point.
Then I won myself and some of my team mates extra points by using my knowledge of probability. After the games and food, we found out that we were in the top 2 teams and were ready for the ultimate winner takes all blood match.

However, weirdly, despite us smashing them in the winner takes all. BAL still won overall, turns out there was bonus points for bringing heads of department. There was no documentation that stated this and the rumour was that they were adding the points as we were playing, so some people may argue that it was fixed so that we couldn't win. However given that we were tied despite Derrick setting us up to loose, meant that we all clearly have some element of talent.

I will most likely write after my network on Thursday now due to uni work.

Until then folks,

Toodle Pips,

Kelly.
